Safari Catering Services is a Community Interest Company (CIC) with clear charitable objects. The organisation was set up by a group of African women to provide training on how to prepare retail and promote African foods in the community.

SFC CIC was born out of an event – “African Foods Seminar tagged Close to Home” staged in the Black History Month of October 2005 in Nottingham –One of the topics at the event was African Foods in Nottingham”. The forum talked about lack of African Foods Centre where Africans can sit to eat and learn how to prepare African foods
